Apple’s MacBook Air lineup has been updated to include quicker processors and graphics, a scissor-switch magic keyboard, lower starting price at $999 and more.
The new MacBook Air sports the newest 10th-generation Core processors from Intel, including one with a 1.2GHz quad-core Core i7 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.8GHz, likely to result in performance up to two times faster than the earlier generation. The new MacBook Air provides up to 80% faster graphics performance with Intel Iris Plus Graphics.
Introduced on the MacBook Pro 16-inch, the new MacBook Air features a Magic Keyboard that provides 1 mm of key travel, plus a new inverted “T “array of arrow keys. Above all, this keyboard should prove much more trustworthy than the issue a butterfly keyboard on the previous MacBook Air had.
The new MacBook Air starts at $999 for 256 GB of storage in the United States, especially in comparison to $1,099 for the 2019 Base Model at 128 GB of storage.
The new MacBook Air overall has a design similar to the previous version, including a Retina display with the true tone, Touch ID, a Force Touch trackpad, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, stereo speakers, a T2 security chip designed by Apple, and three microphones.
The new MacBook Air can be purchased from Amazon.com and it is offered in gray, silver or gold space.
